A familiar size letter is useful, but the measurements tell you more. Use an outfit you already like as your reference.
01 / Make a simple comparison
Lay a similar garment flat without pulling it taut. Measure the same points named in the product’s table: length, bust or chest, waist, hip and sleeve where available. Use a soft measuring tape and keep it level.
Our tables show inches first and centimeters in parentheses. Some charts give a full circumference, while others give a width measured with the garment flat. A 13 in chest width is approximately 26 in around before stretch. Read the column heading before comparing it with a body measurement.
02 / Treat each label separately
S, M and L, or numeric labels such as 4 and 6, refer to the particular product. They are not a promise that every piece follows the same US size chart. Compare the actual garment measurements each time, even if you have bought a similar style.
Stretch fabric can change the feel of a fit, and a relaxed pant will not have the same measurements as a close-fitting legging. Our tables preserve the stated garment measurements rather than inventing a universal conversion. Manual measurements can vary by about 0.8–1.2 in (2–3 cm).
03 / Match the silhouette to the session
- Fitted layers: compare chest, sleeve and body length so the top reaches where you prefer when your arms are raised.
- Leggings and shorts: check waist, hip and overall length together; the size name alone does not tell you the rise or coverage.
- Relaxed or wide-leg pants: consider the hem length and whether it works for your planned movement and floor surface.
- One-piece outfits: compare the full garment length as well as bust, waist and hip; a jumpsuit has fewer ways to adjust its proportions.
04 / Build layers you will use
Start with a bra or top and your preferred bottom. A zip layer can add coverage for warming up, while a short-sleeve layer offers another option in a warmer room. For a coordinated set, check exactly which pieces come with it; a five-piece set and a two-piece set serve different needs.
If a set table covers only one component, contact us for help before ordering rather than applying those measurements to every piece. Follow the care label supplied with your garment.
